My services

I offer three services in the English–Hungarian language pair, specialising primarily in texts on business, law, marketing and market research.

Translation

Translation of specialist texts from English into Hungarian and from Hungarian into English, using terminology appropriate to the subject area of the source text.

Proofreading

Comparison of completed translations with the source text: in terms of accuracy, terminology, grammatical correctness and style.

Post-editing of machine translation

Revising texts produced by machine translation to ensure they are factually accurate and read smoothly.

This is how the order proceeds

Please send the text to be translated using the enquiry form or by email.

I will send you a detailed written quote setting out the deadline and the amount to be paid.

Once the quote has been accepted in writing, I will produce the translation and deliver it in the agreed format.

Economic, legal and marketing translations

Translation of business texts, ranging from day-to-day business correspondence to financial reports, as well as legal documents — contracts, regulations and court documents. In both cases, my specialist knowledge is based on my qualifications and professional experience.

When writing on marketing and market research, I draw on my many years’ experience as a marketing and market research professional in multinational companies.

The most common types of material I work with in the above fields are:

Business correspondence and business plans

Financial reports, annual accounts

Contracts, policies, court documents

Questionnaires, training materials, website content
